Welcome to the GIFTS e-learning platform. Here you can find training modules for health professionals concerning the latest evidence based information about diabetes prevention. The use of this e-learning portal is free of charge. The GIFTS e-learning portal provides practical information for anyone involved in healthcare and prevention activities or adults at risk of developing type 2 diabetes. This includes those working in primary and specialised health care services, physicians, midwives, dieticians, nurses, and other health care professionals planning or already involved in diabetes prevention interventions (e. g. teachers, business partners and many more).

GIFTS is a project targeting early life programming as an opportunity for preventing diabetes and obesity in people of South Asian origin. It is intended that GIFTS will enhance understanding of the convergence of genetic and environmental factors involved in developing diabetes and obesity, and their transmission from parent to child.
